Children's Educational Opportunities

Sunday School classes are provided for children and youth from pre-school to high school from September through mid-June.  The children worship in the sanctuary for the first 20 minutes and are then dismissed to go to their classes.

"Bible Adventures"

Grades K-6

A workshop rotation model Sunday School is used for the children in Grades K-7, using curriculum coordinated by our Pastor and some of our many experienced educators.  The year is broken down into 3-4 week units of study and the children are rotated by age group through unit activities designed to reinforce the story presented.  The story can be presented using music, drama, cooking, games, crafts or a combination of vehicles.  This approach allows for variations in learning styles and helps with retention of material.  The name of the game is mostly fun!

Grades 7-12

Have a discussion group every other week where they discuss how their faith can help them in their every day life.

Pre-School Curriculum

Pre-School children (ages 3-5) use the "Bible Quest" curriculum.  Weekly lessons focus on a specific yearly theme.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation Classes are offered to 8th & 9th Graders.  They meet at least monthly and follow a curriculum that helps increase their sense of belonging to a church community.  Focus is on mission opportunities, reflection & fun.

2010  Vacation Bible Camp

"Under Construction" - A Habitat for Humanity VBC

June 21 - June 25, 2010
